Jackson Township man sentenced for attempted murder
CANTON ‒ A 28-year-old Jackson Township man has been sentenced to six to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of attempted murder and felonious assault. The charges arose from a Jan. 29, 2023, incident in which Shaw choked a woman at a Jackson Township residence, causing her to lose consciousness and suffer cuts on her chest and neck, according to a police document filed in court. She required medical attention.

Kiski Township vehicle fire could bring aggravated arson charges
Kiski Township emergency responders are working to recover a vehicle that was set on fire and pushed over a hillside this weekend near Hicks Hill Road. Around midnight Saturday, Kiski Township police and firefighters, as well as multiple other fire departments, responded to a brush fire that took six hours to extinguish, according to Kiski police Chief Lee Bartolicius.
War Memorial Authority to potentially manage conference center, SEADS Garden Center opens for season
