Mom facing charges after child threatens Pa. elementary school: report

A Johnstown mother and her child are facing charges following threats made against an elementary school in the Greater Johnstown School District, according to a report from WJAC.

District Superintendent Dr. Amy Arcurio told the news outlet that the Johnstown Elementary School got a report about a cyber student threatening gun violence against the school during a Facetime call with another student.

Authorities went to the student’s home and seized a firearm that belonged to the mother, Reba Bush, 36.

Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer told WJAC that Bush is facing one count of child endangerment. The juvenile is also facing charges but no information was provided about their identity.

School officials said that while the threat has passed, local police will be providing additional security at the elementary school.
