Johnson City man arrested, allegedly pointed gun at officer

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Johnson City man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a gun at a police officer on April 11.

The Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) reports deputies responded to the 200 block of Fairridge Road after a victim reported a man dressed in camo pointed a rifle at him as he passed by.

Upon arrival, a law enforcement officer from another agency stated the man, identified as Stan Mosley, 69, pointed a shotgun at him, the report said. The officer then notified dispatchers and the WCSO responded.

Deputies reportedly found Mosley sitting on his front porch with a shotgun. Mosley complied with verbal commands and was arrested, according to the WCSO.

Mosley was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault on a first responder.

He was taken to the Washington County Detention Center. As of Monday, Mosley made his $25,000 bond.
