According to an August 30 report from The-Sun.com, Macy's is strategically shuttering large stores in favor of opening smaller company entities.

From the report: Staff at the Macy's at Northlake Mall in Tucker, Georgia - 24 minutes northeast of Atlanta - told Tomorrow's News Today that the store will close permanently by February 2025. The website revealed that the store's fate appears to be sealed, as Macy's "quietly listed its store and land at Northlake Mall for sale in May."

Reportedly, Macy's has yet to announce a specific closing date for the Northlake Mall store. "About 350" Macy's stores still operate in the U.S., according to The- Sun.com.
