The man was working on the roof at 664 Ocean Ave. when he fell down to the basement of the building, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said. Firefighters transported him to Jersey City Medical Center in critical condition with injuries to his head and right arm, Wallace-Scalfione said.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was notified and an investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfione said.
