The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident that occurred on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 9:17 a.m. in Jericho.
According to Detectives, a 1-year-old male being held by a 62-year-old female pedestrian were crossing northbound on Jericho Turnpike at Aintree Road. They were struck by a 2015 Ford pickup truck operated by a 32- year-old male that was traveling westbound on Jericho Turnpike.
The female pedestrian sustained head and torso trauma and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment where she is listed as critical condition. The 1-year-old child is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The male driver remained at scene. The investigation is ongoing.
