Track and field: Jefferson sweeps Delavan-Darien, Krause wins 4 events for boys team

JEFFERSON — Jefferson’s boys and girls track and field team each defeated Delavan-Darien in a dual meet on Tuesday.

The Eagles won the boys dual, 59-37. Jefferson’s girls won 92-54.

Senior Colton Krause won four events for Jefferson’s boys. Krause won the 200 meter dash in 24.10 seconds, the 400 in 54.52, the high jump at 5 feet, 4 inches and the long jump (19- 1/2). Sophomore Jaden Golisch won the 110 high hurdles in 19.36 and the 300 intermediate hurdles in 47.61.

Sophomore Connor Witucki won the 100 in 12.01.

The 3,200 relay team of senior Brady Gehring, junior Aiden DeBlare, sophomore Ben Armstrong and junior Derek Morrison won in 9:56.20.

Junior Aiden Salerno won the shot put (38-0). Freshman Dan Ellifson won the discus (104-09).

Jefferson’s girls got wins on the track from sophomore Madeline Dehnert in the 800 (2:41.88), junior Lexi Weinbrenner in the 1,600 (6:08.71), freshman Johanna Ramirez in the 100 hurdles (21.50) and 300 hurdles (1:06.35), and the 3,200 relay team of Dehnert, freshman Anneka Schuld, junior Kateri Kawleski and sophomore Alexis Rue in 13:19.73.

First place finishers in the field events were sophomore Zofia Raduege in the pole vault (7-6), junior Annika Bilau in the long jump (15-4), sophomore Addy Nelson in the long jump (15-4) and triple jump (29-4 1/2), senior Alexis Dobson in the shot put (34-1) and senior Jena Lenz in the discus (92-2).

The Eagles compete in the Paul Frank Invitational at Sun Prairie East on Friday.
