Road Closures Planned for June
FREDERICK, MD – The following county roads will experience closures for maintenance or repairs in the first two weeks of June. Reichs Ford Road will close at the railroad crossing on Monday, June 5, to allow CSX to repair the crossing, according to the Office of Construction Inspection. Detour signs will be in place. FREDERICK, Md. - A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on crash near Frederick Wednesday night. The crash was reported just before 11 p.m. on MD 26 near the Monocacy River. Authorities say the motorcyclist, Joseph Franklin Carter, 39, of Keedysville, Maryland was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of MD 26 just south of MD 194.
