Friday, June 2nd

2:24am: An officer located an Open Door at 123 North Chestnut Street.

2:44am: An officer located an Open Door at 121 East Lincoln Way Street.

9:22am: Trevor Ashworth spoke to an officer in connection to a Civil Property Exchange at 407 East State Street.

11:00am: Hy-Vee reported receiving two bad checks at 106 West Washington Street. The officer’s investigation led to Arrest Warrants being requested for Alyssa Lorene Ralson, 31 of Des Moines for, “Theft 5th Degree – Simple (2 Counts) and Driving While Suspended – Simple (2 Counts).

2:45pm: Officers were requested at the Courthouse, located at 114 North Chestnut Street, for a Disgruntled Person yelling and causing a scene. Officers arrived and learned the subject had just left the area. Officers went to 401 East McKinley and arrested Richard Charles Burkhardt, 54 of Jefferson for, “Public Intoxication – Simple and Disorderly Conduct – Simple.”

3:16pm: Dispatch advised of an Abandoned 911 Call from 606 East Adams Street. The officer spoke to the subject and it had been an Accidental Dial.

3:24pm: Haleigh Dzuris reported locating a Stray Dog at 101 Ram Drive. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.

3:26pm: Chad Black reported a cow had fallen out of a trailer in the 200 Block of South Elm Street. The officer did not locate anything in the area.

3:54pm: An officer assisted a motorist with Mechanical Problems near Elm and 220th Street.

7:28pm: A caller advised of a Careless Driver in the 100 Block of South Cedar Street. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

8:21pm: An officer spoke to juveniles in the 400 Block of South Wilson Ave. about calling a Crisis Help Line.

8:36pm: An officer spotted a subject walking in the 600 Block of West Lincoln Way Street, who the officer knew had outstanding Arrest Warrants. The officer arrested Gerson Abraham Serrano-Gomez, 19 of Jefferson for Outstanding Arrest warrants on “OWI 1st Offense – Serious, Poss. of Alcohol Under Age – Simple, Failure to Maintain Control – Simple and Fail to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”

9:22pm: Dispatch Advised of a 911 Hang Up call from 301 South West Street. The officer spoke to the resident and everything was fine.

10:56pm: An officer checked on a female at 207 West Gallop Road after dispatch received 3 911 Hang Up Calls. The subject was found to be okay.

Saturday, June 3rd

12:54am: The Wild Rose advised of a Possible Intoxicated Driver leaving 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

1:33am: An officer located an Open Door at 205 West McKinley Street.

1:00pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Clark Streets resulted in Christopher Lunday of Ames being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

3:06pm: Sparky’s reported a male subject, who was urinating near the dumpsters. The officer has developed a suspect and will be requesting Arrest Warrants for, ‘Public Urination.”

3:21pm: Officers were called to 701 North Cedar Street #33 for a reported Domestic Assault. The officers found markings on the female victim, which were consistent with her version of the event. The officers arrested Dylan Mathew Ades, 20 of Jefferson for, “Domestic Abuse Assault – Serious, Possession of Controlled Substance/marijuana 1st Offense – Serious and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple.”

7:33pm: Amy Blum reported a Dog in Distress at 305 South Grimmell Road. The officer made contact with the owner and found the animal to be fine.

8:46pm: Jacob Bolen reported he believed someone had been in his residence while he was gone from 621 South Olive Street. No forced entry, or missing items were located.

9:12pm: A Traffic Stop in the 600 Block of South Chestnut Street resulted in Merissa Olson of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

9:21pm: Avery Matthews reported her friend had been kidnapped. She had received a phone call advising her of this. The officer learned it was the friend pulling a prank and she had not been kidnapped.

9:24pm: Anna Pound reported catching a Stray Cat at 1502 Hawthorne Lane. The officer placed the cat in the animal Holding Facility.

9:31pm: A Traffic Stop near Grauer and Elm Street resulted in Brandon Carstens of Paton being cited for, “Dark Windows.”

10:49pm: Dispatch advised of a 911 hang Up call from the 300 Block of South High Street. The officer did not locate anyone needing assistance.

Sunday, June 4th

1:08am: An officer removed debris from the roadway near South Elm and Park Streets.

8:58am: Conner Groves reported her vehicle was disabled in the 1900 Block of North Grimmell Road and would be removed later in the day.

2:00pm: Dispatch advised of an Open 911 Call at 208 West Lincoln Way Street. The officer checked and all was fine at the business.

4:08pm: A caller advised of a transformer popping in the alley of the 400 Block of West Harrison Street. The officer located a downed wire and stood by until Alliant arrived to make repairs.

5:24pm: Caitlin Cannon reported a Stray Dog near Ferguson Circle. The officer did not locate the reported animal.

6:09pm: Brynley Ruzicka advised of catching a Stray Dog at 507 Hickory Lane. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding facility.

7:43pm: Nicole Tasler reported a female breaking into a residence at 204 North Chestnut Street. The officer spoke to the female, who owns the residence and is still married to the male subject living there.

9:09pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Head Streets resulted in Gabe Ebersole of Jefferson being cited for, “Dark Windows and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

11:37pm: Chance Packard reported a younger female sitting outside a closed business at 508 North Elm Street. The officer did not locate the subject in the area.
