Greene County faced West Marshall in State Center on Wednesday night in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference softball and the Rams won 3-0 to improve to 3-1 in the conference and 5-2 overall. The Rams broke a scoreless tie by scoring all three runs were scored in the sixth inning. The shut out was the third of the season. The Trojans fell to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the conference.

Senior pitcher Emma Hoyle allowed just one hit in her seven innings, striking out a season high 15 batters. She walked four and hit one batter with a pitch. Greene County had five hits, all singles, from four players, Payton Kokenge singled twice and drove in a run. Paige Teeples had a base hit and RBI, and Hoyle and Alexa Peters each singled. Daniele Madsen also drove in a run.

Glidden-Ralston and the Rams were to have played each other tonight in Jefferson and the plan was to broadcast the varsity game on KG98, but those games were rained out.
