If the weather cooperates, Greene County high school Spring sports athletes will have track & field and soccer this week. The Rams are scheduled to host their Early Bird Coed Track & Field Meet tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. at Linduska Field in Jefferson. Early indications are conditions will be in the mid-40’s at the start with partly sunny skies. Thursday the girls go to Audubon and Friday’s schedule has the boys in Winterst.

Greene County starts the boys’ soccer season on Tuesday in Grand Junction at Karber Field vs. Boone. The varsity match is at 5:30 p.m. with one half of JV action to follow. The Rams play Grand View Christian on Tuesday in girls’ soccer at the James Cownie Soccer Complex on the southeast side of Des Moines. The girl are at Van Meter on Thursday and the boys play West Marshall in State Center on Thursday.

This time of year it’s all weather permitting.
