Woman wanted in connection to shooting in Jefferson County in custody

JEFFERSON CO., Miss. (WLBT) - A woman who was wanted after she allegedly shot into an occupied dwelling has been taken into custody.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred Wednesday in Lorman, Mississippi.

The sheriff’s office issued a search for Janel White, 28, of Fayette, Mississippi, in connection to the incident early Saturday afternoon.

Hours later, White was taken into custody and is now being held in the Jefferson County Jail.

She is currently being held without bond and she is awaiting her initial appearance in court.
