JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City Police, along with the Missouri Division of Alcohol and Tabacco Control and the Jefferson City Council for Drug Free Youth, tested 14 total businesses on alcohol law compliance. Of those 14, five businesses failed to check for identifications.

The five businesses that failed are Xpress Liquor on Ellis Boulevard, We B Smokin' on Missouri Boulevard, Cenex on Dunklin Street, Macadoodles on Missouri Boulevard and Convenient Food Mart on Truman Boulevard.

According to Jefferson City Police, the clerks that failed the tests were given citations. Further action may be taken depending on how many previous citations a business has received.
