JCMO man arrested for ‘Swatting’

A Jefferson City man faces charges of stalking and harassment. 34 – year old Jeffrey Hayes is accused of ‘swatting’ his victims. That’s where someone calls police and prompts a large officer response. Hayes allegedly sent threatening e-mails, texts and other messages to several victims. He’s also accused of sending a death threat to a city official. Investigators say the incident started over a relationship.
