The Jasper Public Library hosted about two-dozen children on Tuesday morning during the first of four weekly Summer Reading Programs, held in the Jasper Fire Hall.
Special guest for the first week of the program was Rose Sharbeno of the Calcasieu Parish Soil & Water Conservation District. She spoke to the children about water conservation.
The next program will be Tuesday, June 13th at 10:00am, and also in the Jasper Fire Hall next to the library.
Special guest will be Park Ranger Katy Nelligan of Martin Dies, Jr. State Park.
