Three join SIU Alumni Association board of directors
The SIU Alumni Association has selected three Salukis to join the organization’s board of directors and serve two-year terms, beginning July 1. Meredith S. Hudgens ’03, Vance Sawyer ’10 & ’11, and Terita M. Walker ’01 were selected by the board for appointment from a national candidate pool of more than 40 nominations at its spring meeting in April. JACKSON COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) - A Texas man was injured after deputies say he drove through a barricade and crashed into a sinkhole. Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash around 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 5 on U.S. Highway 51, less than a mile north of Jones Road in DeSoto.
