Jacksonville, AL – Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make a difference! Sleep in Heavenly Peace – AL, Gadsden is thrilled to announce the upcoming JSU Community Bed Build event, in partnership with Lambda Sigma Beta Pi and the students at Jacksonville State University. On Saturday, March 23rd, starting at 9:00 am, at 700 Pelham Rd N, Jacksonville, AL 36265, community members are invited to join in as 40+ beds are built for children in need within the community.

No prior experience is required – all the necessary training will be provided on-site. Plus, there’s no need to worry about bringing tools – everything will be provided. This bed build is open to the entire community, so whether one is a student, a local resident, or simply someone who wants to lend a helping hand, everyone is welcome to join in for a day of giving back and making a difference.

The goal is simple yet powerful: to build 40+ beds for children and teens who don’t have a bed of their own. But this goal can’t be achieved alone – all hands are needed on deck, including yours! There’s something for everyone to do, whether it’s assembling bed frames, sanding wood, or offering assistance wherever needed.

1. Arrive 30 minutes early for check-in. Even if pre-registered, attendees should check in to receive their PPE and station assignments.
2. Dress warmly and wear closed-toed shoes.
3. Wear old clothing – participants may get dirty during the build.
4. Park in designated areas to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.

As a volunteer, individuals will have the opportunity to learn valuable team-building and woodworking skills while making a tangible impact in the community. By participating in this event, everyone will be joining a mission dedicated to building stronger communities by addressing the needs of children within the midst. Together, they can ensure that no child in the community has to sleep on the floor.

At Sleep in Heavenly Peace, they believe in the power of community and the strength of working together toward a common goal. It’s about being stronger together and being part of Kids Helping Kids. Join in for a day filled with camaraderie, laughter, and the satisfaction of knowing that a difference has been made in the lives of children in need.

Ready to get involved? Register now at volunteer.shpbeds.org and be a part of something truly special. Together, they can make a difference, one bed at a time.
