Hosted by the Ladies of the Lake and H2Go Paddling and Provisions, the annual Paddle for the Battle kayak and paddleboard races will take place on June 10th. The event benefits the NELA Cancer Foundation with all proceeds going to those battling all types of cancer in Jackson Parish.
Races and games for children and adults will begin at 10:00am at Caney Lake Landing, located at 7777 Hwy 4 East (by the bridge) and go until 2:00pm. Ticket options, which can be purchased ahead of time online at Eventbrite or the day of the event, are $45.00 for an all inclusive package of races, games, lunch and a T-Shirt or $20.00 for games and lunch consisting of your choice of a fish basket, chicken tenders basket or burger basket.
