JACKSON, MI -- 205 graduates crossed the stage on Friday, May 26 as Jackson High School celebrated Commencement for the class of 2023.
Principal Monica Pierce is proud of the class and says they are true champions in and out of the classroom.
“The students in this class have been instrumental in the creation of innovative policies and helping implement systematic changes,” Pierce said. “Their thought-provoking ideas and boisterous personalities will leave an indelible mark on our Viking family for years to come.”
Under sunny skies, the graduates, families and friends heard speeches from Jackson High alumni Aidan Sova as well as the valedictorians.
Twelve valedictorian were honored during the ceremony. They are: Chloe Chaparro, Rylie DuBois, Kara Dukes, Cayman Harris, Julia Hastings, Gabriel Hoover, Felicia Huffman, Campbell Johns, Megan Jones, Nadyia Smith-Norman, Ethan Ulstad and Ellie Weed.
