A woman from Sissonville, West Virginia, identified as Brittany Hackney, has been arrested in Jackson County for defrauding organizations that were assisting residents affected by the flooding in eastern Kanawha County. The arrest was made by deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, and Hackney was then arraigned in Jackson County. She posted a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on October 5th.
