JACKSON COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio Highway Patrol’s Jackson Post is currently investigating a non-injury, two-vehicle crash that occurred, yesterday, March 30th, near the entrance ramp for Route 32 from Route 35.
According to reports, the accident involved a 2011 Toyota Prius driven by Shirley Boring, 76, of Hamden and a 2009 Cadillac STS driven by Leslie Sullivan, 28, of Waverly. Boring, the post said, was exiting from Route 35 eastbound and attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Route 32 to travel eastbound on Route 32. Unfortunately, Boring, troopers said, failed to yield to the right of way to oncoming traffic and pulled into the path of Sullivan’s vehicle.
The crash caused the westbound lanes of Route 32 to be closed for nearly 40 minutes during the investigation and clean-up. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and Jackson EMS/Fire were also on the scene to assist.
Thankfully, there were no injuries reported on the scene. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
