Independence man accused of threatening Jackson County judge, including leaving racial slurs on voicemail
An Independence, Mo., man has been charged for threatening a Jackson County judge. Michael Deblois was charged Tuesday night with tampering with a judicial officer and first-degree harassment. Court records state the judge received multiple voicemails from the defendant. They featured profanity, threats and racial slurs, according to a probable cause statement.The calls were investigated by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. He was taken into custody on Tuesday night.
