KALAMAZOO, MI – Police arrested a second man for a summertime murder in Kalamazoo. Officials with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said they arrested Deyonte Armstrong, 21, in connection with the July 24 homicide of 30-year-old Charles Lee Weir. GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A former elementary school custodian in Kent County pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. Federal authorities said Bradley Arkesteyn, 29, of Rockford, pleaded guilty on Friday and is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 12, 2025. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
