Drew students witnessed the first total solar eclipse visible in the United States since 2017 on April 8 from around 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon covers the sun, creating a shadow on earth. Lady Flames Celebrate Daddy-Daughter Day With Two Wins
On Daddy-Daughter day, it was big innings for the Lee University softball team which lead to a double header sweep over visiting Delta State University on Saturday afternoon at Butler Field. It was a five run fourth inning in game one which led to a 7-4 win and then a seven run fourth and a six run fifth which led to a 14-5 win in game two. With the two wins, Lee improved to 18-23 on the season and 12-14 in GSC play.
