The City of Ithaca Police Department is investigating a shots-fired incident at the intersection of Corn St. and Cleveland Ave., following calls coming in just before 1 p.m. on March 27.

After police interviewed multiple witnesses, authorities believe the shooting incident occurred between two people walking and at least one other person in a vehicle.

No injuries were reported on the scene, according to police, and all parties involved in the incident fled before officers arrived. Officers at the scene of the incident did locate and secure evidence and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

The intersection was briefly shut down but it has since reopened for vehicular traffic.
