Davenport, FL – A Polk County deputy is behind bars after being arrested for indecent exposure over the weekend. Rodney Isaiah Williams, III, a 20-year-old deputy, was charged with unlawful exposure of sexual organs on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Williams resigned from his position immediately after his arrest, though the Polk County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that if he hadn’t, he would have been fired.

The incident occurred at an apartment complex in Davenport, where Williams was caught on camera standing completely nude and masturbating in a shared, open landing area visible to other residents. Disturbed by the behavior, neighbors contacted authorities.

When deputies arrived at the scene, Williams admitted to his actions, explaining that he did it "for the thrill" and acknowledged that he had "done something stupid." At the time of the incident, Williams was off-duty.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd did not hold back in his response, stating:

This vulgar and indecent behavior by one of our now former agency members is completely unacceptable, not to mention illegal. We will never tolerate such immoral and illegal conduct. That is why he was promptly arrested.” – Grady Judd, Sheriff

Williams had been employed as a deputy sheriff for less than a year, having been hired in November 2023. Following his arrest, he was booked into the Polk County Jail in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 29, 2024. He is currently being held on a $1,000 bond.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone with further information to come forward.
