Man killed in Isabella County motorcycle crash ID’d by police

ISABELLA COUNTY, MI -- The Isabella County Sheriff’s office has released the name of the motorcyclist killed Saturday, June 3 after being pinned between a truck and a trailer during a crash.

Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash between a truck and a motorcycle in the 1000 block of East Rosebush Road in Isabella Township.

A news release shared by the Sheriff’s Office said that the motorcyclist had been trapped between the truck and a small utility-trailer it had been towing.

Once on scene, deputies determined the man driving the motorcycle, identified as 68-year-old Roger Stalter from Clare, had died from a head injury suffered in the crash.

According to police, the pickup truck had been turning left into a driveway when the motorcyclist, who had been driving in the same direction, was unable to stop.

The 22-year-old man driving the pickup truck was not injured in the crash.
