IRVING (1080 KRLD)- The City of Irving is out with a warning about skimming devices.
The warning comes after Irving Police seize several devices from a home. They include deep-insert skimmers, card reader writers and computer components for making skimmers. Officer Jesus Alvarez says two people are arrested, and their operation has targeted hundreds throughout the entire Metroplex.
Alvarez says one way to protect yourself is always to use contactless payments, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, whenever possible. If inserting a card is unavoidable, look for anything loose, crooked or damaged before doing so.
