Irondequoit FD puts out porch fire on N. Goodman Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Firefighters worked to put out a fire at a house on North Goodman Street in Irondequoit.

The Irondequoit Fire District reports the fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. Sunday and burned the porch in the rear of the home. It was under control in about 10 minutes.

IFD Chief Steve Sessler says one person was transported to the hospital for light smoke inhalation.

Chief Sassler also stated the fire was believed to have been started by discarded smoking materials.
