UPDATE: A 25-year-old man was found dead in the Cahaba River on Sunday night. According to Irondale Fire Department Chief Josh McDaniel, he did not know how to swim when he entered the water. The Vestavia Hills, Irondale and Cahaba Valley fire departments responded to the scene.

IRONDALE, Ala. (WIAT) — The Irondale Fire Department is searching for a missing person in the Cahaba River on Sunday night.
According to the IFD, a group was swimming in the river when strong currents separated people within the group. Drone teams are searching the area.
