Opened by renowned literary agent Jennifer Rudolph Walsh and beauty tycoon Victoria Jackson, who count Meghan among their circle, with Oprah also showing her backing. At the event, Meghan stood up to give a heartfelt speech , expressing gratitude to the duo for establishing a place "for so many people to feel seen through the pages, either in laughter, in grief, in feeling less alone".
However, as the celebration wound down, Meghan was seen making a beeline for the exit. Town and Country magazine reports that she excused herself to the other guests, explaining: "I've got to make dinner for the kids."
This appearance by Meghan followed her attendance with Harry at a more intimate pre-launch gathering for the bookstore just the day before, reports the Mirror .
Interestingly, it appears that Harry himself sparked the idea for the bookstore's name last year when he released his memoir. During a book event in Beverley Hills, Harry expressed his thanks to Jennifer, Victoria, and Oprah, affectionately calling them his 'fairy godmothers', which led Oprah to suggest that as the perfect name for the new establishment.
Harry and Meghan have maintained a close relationship with Oprah since they were first introduced around the time of their 2018 wedding. Oprah was among the distinguished guests at the couple's nuptials in St George's Chapel, Windsor, donning a powder pink ensemble complete with a matching hat.
The Times has reported that prior to the wedding, Meghan had only met Oprah once, but she later referred to the occasion as a "transformative event". She expressed her "pride" in Harry and Meghan for choosing to keep the identities of their son Archie's godparents private and voiced her "1,000 per cent" support for their decision to step back from Royal duties.
In early 2021, the couple's sit-down with Oprah sent shockwaves around the world. The much-awaited interview revealed the couple's experiences within the Royal Family and included several startling accusations.
One of the most astonishing revelations from Harry and Meghan's explosive interview was Harry's disclosure of "conversations" held within the Royal household concerning the potential skin tone of their then-unborn son Archie. Meghan declined to reveal who was involved in these discussions during the interview, stating that it would be "very damaging to them."
In other parts of the interview, Meghan spoke candidly about her mental health battles and confessed to having suicidal thoughts during her stint in the Royal family. There had been whispers that the bond between the Sussexes and Oprah had become a bit frosty of late.
However, it seems everything is hunky-dory as they were spotted together at a bookstore launch over the weekend.

Meaghan doesn’t hang in those circles, and since Oprah was named in that she didn’t stay long , so she would be-associated with her! She didn’t know Oprah was like that ,so she first even want to be apart of any of that ! Meaghan had been very quiet, it’s Harry who is more vocal now !
