Sydney Sweeney has shared her interest in teaming up with Irish star Paul Mescal for a future project, as she gave the young Irish actor a glowing endorsement .

With the Hollywood sky ablaze with Sweeney's and Mescal's careers, the idea of them sharing the screen certainly sparks excitement .

Fresh from her success in the rom-com Anyone But You, which was a hit among both viewers and critics, Sweeney is obviously thinking ahead to who she might collaborate with next.

Posed with the question of her ideal co-star in an upcoming romantic comedy, she pondered before choosing the talented Irish actor.

"Ooh, that's such a good question! Who would I want? " she deliberated. "I feel like it would be really fun to work with, like, Paul Mescal or someone like that."

Mescal, having bagged an Oscar nomination for his role in 'Aftersun' in 2023, recently showcased his skills in the critically acclaimed romance 'All Of Us Strangers' alongside Andrew Scott.

He has also acted with Saoirse Ronan in Foe, and while fans have witnessed Mescal in various romantic roles, notably in 'Normal People,' they have yet to see how he'd handle the quirks of a rom-com.
