Ireton Woman Taken To Hospital After Rolling Her Vehicle

Ireton, Iowa — An Ireton woman was taken to a hospital after an accident on Thursday morning, June 8.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 7:25 a.m., 25-year-old Mallie Sauer of Ireton was driving a 2023 Hyundai Tucson southbound on Dipper Avenue, about four miles southwest of Ireton, when she drove off the roadway and lost control of the vehicle, which entered the east ditch and rolled.

The Ireton Ambulance took Sauer to Hawarden Regional Healthcare. Her injuries were described as “minor.”

They tell us the Hyundai sustained about $20,000 in damage.

Sauer was cited on a charge of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

The sheriff’s Office says the Ireton Ambulance Squad and Ireton Fire Department assisted them with the response to the accident.
