Iowa City Animal Services investigates dog bite

Iowa City Animal Services is seeking the owner of a dog that bit a pedestrian Friday morning.

According to a City of Iowa City news release, a person was bitten by a dog around 7 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The dog is described as having a medium-sized build with gray and white, medium-length fur. The woman walking the dog was walking a small, brown dog as well.

Iowa City Animal Services is seeking information on the rabies vaccination status of the dog that bit the pedestrian. If anyone has any information, they are encouraged to contact Iowa City Animal Services directly at 319-356-5295 or the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-6800.
