An Iowa City woman allegedly took some of another woman’s hair during an assault Monday night.
Police say 29-year-old Shaquilla Brown of Taylor Drive showed up at the woman’s boyfriend’s house before 9:30pm. Brown allegedly banged on the door, and when the woman opened the door, she was assaulted.
The victim said she was punched in the face and had her hair pulled. Brown allegedly broke the glass portion of the screen door prior to leaving the scene, and took some of the victim’s hair.
The woman had swelling and redness under her left eye. She was able to describe Brown accurately and knew her name and address.
Brown was arrested and charged with Assault causing Bodily Injury, a serious misdemeanor. A no-contact order was requested between the two women.
