In February this year, BMW announced a recall for a faulty braking system. When this was first announced, the company believed that 79,670 vehicles were impacted. Since then, action has been taken to ensure the safety of customers. Now, however, BMW is announcing an important update. More vehicles fall under this recall than they originally thought. That said, as of this writing, the number of vehicles impacted is up to 1.5 million.

So, as you might imagine, this massive recall covers quite a few places . In the United States, there are 270,000 vehicles included in the recall. But the U.S. isn’t the only country involved. Others include China (370,000), France (60,000), Germany (150,000), and Korea (60,000). With the recall expanding, a reminder of what BMW owners can and should do is very much needed.
