PRYOR, Oklahoma ~ I can’t fix what’s wrong with the world. I can’t change people. I can’t make all the wrongs right. I want to. I see the people that I love, hurting. I want to take that pain away from all of them, but I can’t always do that. It could be both depressing and exhausting if I dwell on it. If I let my mind wonder and think about all of the things I can’t do, I’m going to end up in a mental state I don’t want to be in. So, instead I pray.
Sequoyah High School Alumni Association holds fundraiser for SHS Foundation
TAHLEQUAH – In an annual event, the Sequoyah High School Alumni Association held its fundraiser on May 3 to raise money for the SHS Foundation. The weekend also serves as a kind of all-school reunion. SHS alumni from any class are invited, and the proceeds go to the foundation to help fund scholarships for Sequoyah graduates pursuing degrees in higher education and other assistance for SHS students.

Police Search Ends In Owasso; Auto-Theft Suspect Not Located
Police from Tulsa and Owasso searched along 86th Street in Owasso on Monday after a man led police on a chase to the area. Police searched a large area around 86th Street North Memorial Drive for a man they said was known to have stolen several cars. The search ended just after 4:30 after several hours without success. Police have not released the name or a description of the suspect at this time. According to TPD Captain Richard Meulenberg, police do not have direct confirmation that the man was armed.

Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer said that large hail, damaging winds and flooding were the biggest concerns overnight Wednesday as storms moved in to northeast Oklahoma. There was large hail reported in some areas, including Barnsdall and Burbank. Storm Tracker Bob Rohloff's windshield was cracked while he was in Burbank Wednesday night.
