The City of Indianola is currently in the process of acquiring a dilapidated and uninhabitable property on Highway 92, with the Indianola City Council approving a resolution in support of the project. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the city is actively working towards obtaining the horseshoe apartments, and mitigating the negative effects of having the buildings on a major highway.
“It’s actually a really complicated situation. There are three different parcels there, with two different owners, and the buildings span over all three parcels. Those types of things we want to clean up in the community, and we really appreciate the patience and support of our citizens as we work to try to resolve these concerns through the courts.”
