The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday, which included a resolution regarding winter parking on the downtown Indianola square, which changes the window for parking during a snow event that will allow the public works department from 10pm to 7am to remove snow.

The council approved a resolution for the construction of street, curb and gutter, storm sewer, shared-use path and other public improvements on the South K St. paving project, and appointed a three-member valuation committee for the South K Street Special Assessment Project.
The council also approved an ordinance allowing the city to acquire unsafe or abandoned buildings, and approved multiple plat reviews while denying one in a 3-3 vote, before going into closed session to discuss the purchase or sale of real estate.
Before the meeting, the council met in a work session to discuss parking signs around the square, and to discuss the city manager review and evaluation process.
