The Wildcats struck first with a run in the first, but Indianola answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning to lead 2-1 after the first. Both teams scored again in the second with the Indians leading 3-2, before a wild third inning included the Wildcats scoring four runs and the Indians scoring three to tie the game at six, and the offense continued in the fourth with the Indians adding two more to lead 8-6 after the fourth. The Wildcats earned another run back in the sixth, but the Indians held on to win the contest 8-7 to win their third straight game.

The Indians improve to 5-4, and will next play Wednesday hosting Pella Christian to kick off Little Hawkeye Conference play.
