Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. exited Wednesday's organized team activity (OTA) session early due to an injury, but it appears he avoided a major scare.

During team drills, Pittman collided with second-year cornerback Jaylon Jones and fell to the ground. The training staff attended to the Colts wide receiver before he gingerly limped to the sideline.

After a few minutes, the training staff escorted him inside the facility while practice resumed.

Following the practice, head coach Shane Steichen told the media that Pittman bumped his knee and should be back soon.

The Colts gave Pittman a three-year extension this offseason, and he's coming off career-highs with 109 receptions and 1,152 yards.

It isn't clear how long Pittman will be out, and the media won't be back at OTAs until next week. However, it's at least encouraging that he seemingly avoided a major injury.
