FORT PIERCE, Fla. — Neighbors in a Treasure Coast apartment complex say nothing is being done about a rat infestation, which those neighbors say is out of control. Multiple residents at Orangewood Village Apartments in Fort Pierce say they have rats in every single one of their rooms, and they hear them in the walls, especially at night. The couple had lived in the Moorings community previously until business interests required their attention elsewhere. When they returned, the Chnupas came across 249 Springline Drive in the gated Anchor subdivision, which they have meticulously renovated and updated.

Ballet Vero Beach presents its next program, “New Classics,” with “The West Side Story Suite” and “The Sleeping Princess” this weekend at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th St. Tickets are $10 to $75. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20. The company will present its Accessible/Family Friendly, hour-long performance of “The Sleeping Princess” 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21. Tickets to the Family Friendly performance are $10 plus handling. The ballet company will also have its annual fundraiser, Ballet Under the Stars, 6 p.m. Friday, April 26, at the Tree House Vero Beach.
