City of Lawton holds special meeting over Westwin pilot refinery, residents’ concerns remain
LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - The City of Lawton held a special meeting on Monday, Apr. 22. The main topic of discussion: Westwin Elements’ critical metal refinery. LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Good morning Texoma! We saw a round of showers and storms move through the area last night, and there is more on the way today. Showers will be on and off throughout the day with some embedded thunderstorms possible. The overall risk for severe weather is low, but it will be possible to have a strong storm or two that produces small hail and gusty winds. Outside of the rain chances, temperatures will be on the cooler side as a result of the cloud coverage. Afternoon temperatures will only be in the low 50s, which is about 25 degrees below average for this time of year.
