Newton Bowling Off to a Slow Start
NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School Bowling team had two matches this week, one against Jefferson on Wednesday and one against Sussex Tech on Thursday. Newton lost to Sussex Tech 7-0. Newton’s scores for the matches are as follows: Rachel Porzilli- 422 Salvatore Serillo-363 Brad Williams- 587 Devlin Schmid- 207 Cera Steinwand- 384 Mackenzie Genung- 161 Newton made it on the board against Jefferson, but lost 5-2. The scores for the matches are as follows: Rachel Porzilli- 497 Salvatore Serillo-229 Brad Williams- 485 Devlin Schmid- 417 Cera Steinwand- 421 Mackenzie Genung- 138 The Newton High School Braves’ overall and NJAC-Northern division record is 1-2. RANDOLPH, NJ- Last year, in 2022-23, the Randolph boys ice hockey team saw a super young squad with only four seniors skate to a very successful 14-4-4 record. Park Junior Middle School Hockey Team Wins League Championship
HANOVER, NJ - The Park Junior Middle School Hockey Team has won teh League Championship this past Sunday, December 2nd. They faced the Morristown Middle School team and won 11-2 to win the 2023 Carco Cup Aspen League Championship. The match was held at Sportscare Arena in Randolph. Dean Gnardelis and Sean Marion are both head coaches of the team. They are both from Hanover Township.The team draws a mix of travel hockey players from Floram Park, East Hanover, and Hanover Township. This is the first championship win for the team!
