Prep baseball: Ridgeline gets strong performance from Hansen, wins region
HYRUM — There will be no sharing of the Region 11 baseball title for 2024. The Riverhawks made sure of that on Wednesday at The Yard. Ridgeline got a strong performance on the mound from Bode Hansen and played error-free behind him. Big hits propelled the offense as the Riverhawks shut out the Mustangs, 6-0.
Prep boys soccer: Grizz extend winning streak to 3, pull even with Wolves atop region standings
SMITHFIELD — It was a bit dicey in the end, but the Grizzlies dealt with the pressure well enough to earn another gratifying road win and maintain their recent spell of good form. Kyonosuke Chikamoto converted on a give-and-go from Adrian Espinoza late in the first half and Logan...

Prep track & field: SV wins both team titles at Sky Canyon Invite
Star power and depth in both hurdles events helped propel Sky View’s track & field program to team glory at the Sky Canyon Invitational last Saturday at Green Canyon High. The Bobcats won all four of those races at the seven-team invite, which is typically contested at their venue. Sky View, Green Canyon and Preston finished first, second and third, respectively, in the boys and girls competitions.

Softball loses to Ridgeline, beats rival Box Elder
For the second time this season, the Ridgeline softball team got a measure of revenge on Bear River for last season’s state championship series. Last season, the Bears came back after dropping the first game to win the last two games of the 4A title series and snatch the state trophy from the Riverhawks. This year, Ridgeline has handed Bear River two of its three losses in Region 11 play.
