Security guard dead, 2 hurt in Hyattsville gentleman’s club shooting

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (DC News Now) — Prince George’s County police said three people were shot at a gentleman’s club in the unincorporated part of Hyattsville Tuesday morning. One of them died.

Officers said they responded to reports of a shooting in the 2400 block of Chillum Rd. around 12:40 a.m.

Tuesday afternoon, the Prince George’s County Police Department said the person who died was Alex Lynch, 28, of Landover. Lynch was a security guard at the club. Officers found him dead outside of the business when they go there.

The other two people who were shot, a man and a woman, were inside the club.

Police said a second woman was hurt in an unrelated incident.

The police department said a reward of up to $25,000 was available for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
