UPDATE (March 17, 3:15 p.m.): Huntington Fire Department says it responded to an electrical fire at a commercial building on Fourth Avenue Friday afternoon.

HFD says most of the metal-clad building was charged with high-voltage electricity when crews arrived. Firefighters entered the building once the power was off, according to HFD.

Crews contained the fire to a large interior electrical panel, HFD says. Firefighters say they also removed smoke from the building with positive-pressure ventilation fans.

HFD says no one was in the building when the fire started. According to HFD, there were damages only to the electrical panel and system along with smoke issues.

Firefighters say they demobilized and returned to service just before 2:30 p.m. No firefighters were injured, HFD says.
