Motorbike races at Clay Peak
Desert racing competitors and fans filled the Clay Peak Recreation area over the weekend of April 27-28, with youth riders racing on Saturday, and a full slate of adult divisions on Sunday. The racing area was developed by the Snake River Motorcycle Association, a predecessor of the current Bar 2 Bar Racing club, and the weekend’s race was once again a memorial to Weiser’s Leon Hendrickson, one of the original club members who worked tirelessly on the area’s development. The event was a Southern Idaho Desert Racing Association sanctioned race, with riders earning points, trophies, and cash for those competing in the pro class.
