Patty was born in Hugo, Okla., and began her adventures in life at an early age living in Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela, with her parents. She attended primary school in Venezuela as well as Ada, Okla. She graduated high school from Gulf Park in Gulf Port, Miss., and attended College at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with a major in Music Education and minor in Speech and Theater. She was an amazing wife, mother and career teacher of music K-12. She taught in many rural schools in Oklahoma to include Soper, Fort Towson and Fletcher, before settling in Moore, Okla., after the death of her husband. She remained as a teacher with Moore Public Schools until retirement. She continued to mentor children of all ages in the Moore area in music until her second retirement at age 80.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Larry Wayne Fry of Hugo, Okla.; parents, Sidney A. and Mary Jim (Chico) Hillhouse of Hugo; brother, Phillip W. Hillhouse of Shawnee, Okla.; grandsons: Jeremy Barnett of Hugo, Nanih Waiya Wayne Fry of Hugo and William Moore of Oklahoma City.

She is survived by her five children: Jeffrey Wayne Fry and wife Cheryl of Hugo, Lizabeth Ann Moore and husband, Brian of Oklahoma City, Glynda Carol Fry-Stewart and husband, Gary of Lexington, Okla., Sydney Rachel Baker and husband, Madison (Bo) of Moore, Okla., James Patrick Fry and wife, Gina of McCloud, Okla.; 11 grandchildren: Jessica Salmon of Hugo, Sarah Guidry and husband, Daniel of Moore, Taylor Moore of Okmulgee, Okla., Christopher Jacks and wife, Kelly of Noble, Okla., Heather Fry of Moore, Larry Baker of Lawton, Hillary Fry of Edmond, Okla., Jaime Seaton of Shawnee, Okla., Lucas Fry of Oklahoma City, Tandy Graham of Warner, Okla., and Tyler Graham of Yukon. She was blessed with 16 great-grandchildren: Oliver, Alyssa, Daniel, Paige, Clinton, Caleb, Autumn, Brecken, Aubree Sage, Ezekiel, Kaydance, Allison, Josie, Maysen, Keith and Emberly.

Funeral services for Patty Fry were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at St. Marks Episcopal Church with the Rev. Gloria Walters officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
