HOUSTON WOMAN ARRESTED SATURDAY

A Houston woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after she apparently tried to cash a fraudulent check.
Brenham Police report that Saturday afternoon at 12:45, Officers responded to the 2000 block of South Market Street in reference to fraud. The complainant reported that a female and male passed fraudulent checks. Initial investigation revealed Trudy Ann Vaughn, 26 of Houston, was in possession and attempted to cash a fraudulent check. Vaughn was placed into custody for Forgery of Financial Instrument greater than $750 and transported to the Washington County Jail.
